Kombi

Up for auction is my 1962 Split Screen Kombi. I got this Kombi from Central Australia where it has spent most of it’s life. There is very little rust, the chassis is solid, all the sills and usual rust spots are almost rust free. The cargo floor has a bit of rust and probably needs replacing but the rest you can easily cut out. It has the original Gulf Blue paint with the paint sticker still on the spare wheel area, so you know exactly what you are getting. I had the 1600 engine reconditioned around 8 years ago and it’s only done around 1000 k’s since then. It runs smoothly and doesn’t blow smoke or leave oil. The gearbox is smooth in all gears but it does leak oil so it needs new seals. The brake shoes are good and the handbrake works, it just needs a master cylinder and wheel cylinders. I was intending to do this kombi up however I just don’t have the time. If you are after a split screen kombi to do up, this is the perfect one. There are more photo’s of the kombi on Gumtree. Happy bidding. On 08-Aug-17 at 12:26:39 AEST, seller…
