For auction is a 1968 VW Bug with clear title. I bought the VW bug from a friend who drove this back and forth to work since then he let the car sit in his garage then moved outside. It was last ran two years ago when parked. Since then rebuilt carb and installed new battery and gas tank, have yet to start up. The system currently is a 6 volt with a 12 volt conversion also included with the car. Extra parts include seats, front axle, front clip and various other small pieces. Missing from the car are the two front fenders. The rust seen in the pictures is minor surface rust due to car being covered and tarp rubbing the paint and primer off the vehicle. This car has the original floor pans and no rust throughout the vehicle other than the surface rust. I bought this car prior to my third child being born for me and my family to enjoy unfortunately this car only fits four people my loss is your gain. This vehicle will be available for local pickup only and will be sold as is, and no warranties expressed or implied. A deposit of $250.00 is due at the end of the auction. Offered for sale is my 1967 Volkswagen Beetle. This is a rust free South Florida car. The original pan has never been off the car. The pan, body, and heater channels are 100% solid. The exterior of this car is in excellent condition. The body has been resprayed its original light blue color and the paint shows very well. All of the chrome, trim, glass, and everything else on the outside of this car is in excellent condition. The car has a 4″ narrowed front beam and has been lowered in the rear. It sits on polished aluminum Empi 5 spoke wheels and new tires. The interior in this car is completely original with the exception of new carpet. The interior is in great shape. It has an Autometer tachometer under the dash and a Hurst shifter. The engine is a smooth running 1641 dual port with a Holley carburetor and a mild cam. It has headers and a stinger exhaust. It has a Freeway Flier transmission. It as been upgraded from a generator to an alternator. 1967 is a very desirable year because it is the first year for the factory 12 volt electrical system. It also had many suspension upgrades for that year and was the last year for the small chrome bumpers and metal dashes. I have a clear title for the car and a custom made indoor car cover. 1956 Chop top Cal-custom factory convertible Beetle. This car has a cut windshield and top they seem to fit properly and would make for a very cool ride. I have the parts cut from the windshield frame to repair. This car is sitting on a 1967 pan I have a 1200 with all the proper tin and a 1000000 vin pan to include. The car is very rust free in the body and was Bronze the hood and fenders are all painted bronz on the back side. This car is a project I have bumpers and boxes of parts. Please call with questions. From what I can tell the seats and deck lid are missing I have a proper steering column and horn button that will be installed before the car is picked up. If you like the look of patina, then this is the bug for you!! You can’t go any where without getting a thumbs up or a compliment. The car has been upgraded to a 12v system sometime in its life. I installed a Ron Francis Wire Works drop down resistor setup for the radio. Everything works in this car. There is only one spot of rust through and that is a pencil size hole at the base of the pass door post. See pic. Seats were removed, the seat frames sand blasted and then powder coated. Then they were painted with the original L466 silver beige interior paint. Seat covers are from TMI and are the original mesh grey leatherette vinyl. These were very difficult to obtain. New seat foam was also installed in the front seats only. The interior was covered in rust bullet to stop the spread of rust. There is no headliner but the bows will be included. The usual battery rust was cut out and a new panel welded in. There are many new parts that have been installed and I am putting that list below. This has been a daily driver for the past year and has been extremely reliable. Will easily keep up with traffic on the freeway. Engine was rebuilt some time before I got it as seen on the sticker on the fan housing. Keep it as is or restore it to original. Original color is L87 Pearl White. Engine is the stock 1200cc. Fuel tank was removed, cleaned out and sealed with gas tank sealer. This is an unbelievably original 1965 Volkswagen Type I, otherwise know as a VW Beetle with it’s original paint and interior. There are seat covers on the front seats but everything else looks to be as it came from the factory. The miles showing are just under 75,000 and by it’s appearance and the way it drives they should be accurate. The car is not a trailer queen and has been driven. There are a couple of marks on it as you can see in the images on our site and the head liner is coming loose above the driver’s door. The front left front fender has a nickel size area where the paint is worn through and the gray primer is showing. One rear fender was repainted (we could see where the fender had been removed) but the work is without fault and it is the original fender. The bumpers are amazing. The over riders are not as new, but almost as good. The engine looks like it was taken out and resealed sometime back, the pushrod tubes have no rust on them and there is no sign of any oil leaks except from minor seepage near the nose cone area of the transmission. The generator is rebuilt and has a Japanese Voltage Regulator. The case is stamped D TA7 and with an engine number of 9668268. The underside of the car has a couple of minor marks on it, but it shows no signs of impact or rust. The front apron is almost perfect, the rear has some minor damage, probably when they pulled the engine. The car drives well, the transmission shifts with no grinding in any gear, the brakes work as good as they did when it was sold new. The head liner has some yellowing above the driver’s seat area but everything else looks great. Most of you are going to recognize how rare this car is, not because of the model and year, but because of its condition. This car was tucked away in a heated garage in the foothills of the Sierras until we got it recently. It was covered with a layer of dust and the tires were almost flat, but this is how we got it, just washing it off and cleaning the glass. The biases-ply tires are flat spotted from sitting all this time and may stay that way. I would give them a 100 miles to see what happens, but they may need to be replaced. We have not waxed it and the paint and interior look unbelievable. If you are looking for an original car, not one that has been restored using “aftermarket” parts to replicate what this car already is, this is your chance. Up for auction is a 1968 volkswagon beetle that has been partially restored.The engine has been completely rebuilt.Has new clutch ,pressure plate and flywheel.Front end has been rebuilt,brakes have been rebuilt, has all new weather strips around doors,hood, trunk lid, and rubbers around fenders, has had new floor pans put in,had new headliner put in,but it is wrinkled pretty bad.It has been painted,but the paint job looks bad,it has several runs in it and the paint is rough.It will need to be repainted.There are still a few places that will need to be repaired, like some cracks in the rear fenders,I will try to show them in the pictures.All of the glass looks real good and clear with new rubbers around them except they cracked the front windshield installing it.The wheels with the original chrome rings and hub caps are all in good condition. It will need most all interrior including seats and carpet .I have the old seats but about all that is left of them are the frames and springs. The car has been sitting in a garage since all the work has been done on it,and I have just purchased it.The guy I bought it from said that he had spent over five thousand dollars on the car,but he had health problems and never got to finish it. The decision to produce the Super Beetle in 1971 was going to prove a costly one. Never before had Volkswagen spent so much time or money on the Beetle. The new suspension design required a new chassis and every panel in the front end had to be redesigned as well. This meant new round fenders, a larger wider hood, redesigned front valance, a new spare tire well, other changes to areas of the body and new inner fenders to accommodate the mounting of the new struts. The newly designed Beetle was to be sold in North America with a larger carbureted 1600cc engine featuring dual port cylinder heads for better performance, with an external oil cooler. Crescent-shaped air vents were designed to allow more fresh air into the interior. The rear deck lid was increased in size to accommodate the new larger engine and had two banks of five louvers cut into it to help keep the new power plant cool.
