Stock engine was a 1300cc and too slow for freeway use.Numbers are not matching as engine was replaced.Transaxle shifts perfectly and smoothly in all gears and the clutch is in good condition as well.$65-New wiring for 12 volt charging system and engine bay.$22-New chrome mirror for passenger side with hinge pin included but not installed.$150-New spark plugs, spark plug wires, fuel pump, fuel filter, air cleaner, air filter and voltage regulator.$6,700-invested in paint and new restoration parts within the last year!Look at the 64 pictures below and you will see your new dream ride, I have done my best to describe everything to you. Cost around $40 to fix.Engine runs great and should be very reliable as it is perfectly tuned and timed. Oil change done on 01/28/12. Starts on first try.Sunroof needs cables and installation of the required hardware to work with the handle otherwise it slides open and closed manually with your hand.All chrome and trim outside this classic VW is new or polished up and intact as seen in the photos.Undercarriage “Pan” is in great shape as seen in the photos and can be spray undercoated to preserve its structure.California rust free classic Volkswagen that is highly collectible and available here from a trusted seller.
